PRAISE AND WORSHIP MINISTRY
Praise and Worship ministry is one of the existing ministries in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria. Simply, as the name implies, its primary function is to draw down the overpowering presence of God in every gathering of gathering of Gods people through songs. The Ministry, also through its divine gift of making melody to our Father in heaven, impacts people with glorious and heavenly experiences of what it looks like being in heaven for real. As such, burdens, sorrows and all sort of negativities are lifted off people any time heaven is consulted through praise and worship. Interestingly, record has it that sinners in many occasions through the ministration of praise and worship, had been heart-broken and their souls won back to God even as demon possessed individuals receive their deliverance since Gods presence is the absence of devil.
It is worthy to note that the origin of the ministry is traceable to heaven and it will end there considering that the Throne of God is built with praises. In other words, removing the ministry is like dethroning God which is not possible, Psalms 22:3. The indispensability of the ministry both to divinity and humanity cannot be over emphasized. That is why God holds the ministry with high esteem. 2chro. 20:21-26, Psalms 67:1-end.
THE MEMBERS: 1 Peter 2:9 puts it that we are a royal priesthood, a holy nation and God’s specials who are wonderfully and carefully chosen to PROCLAIM HIS PRAISES. One may ask, who are they and what made them special just like psalm 8:1-9 also asked. Are they holier or more important? But I wonder why you should question God’s supremacy.
The truth is that when Lucifer who was the second in command in heaven and at the same time the chief controller general of the choirs in heaven rebelled against God and was defeated which led to his banishment from heaven, his position in heaven was not replaced until God, in order to show Satan his nothingness, reserved that position for us to occupy and to praise Him always. No wonder every minister gets closer to God through our ministry. I want to caution every member of this great ministry to be very careful because being a member of this ministry has made you an arch enemy to the devil who can use even those things that brought about his down fall to trap you down, things like pride, rebellious spirit, anger, jealousy, sexual immorality amongst others, all these things must be avoided with determination, they are devils strategies against the ministry.
However, since we prepare God’s delicacies, let’s do it with purity and holiness so that our God will take pleasure in our ministrations. It is a privilege that we are given the place of the elders, angels and heavenly beings here on earth! Rev. 4:8-11, Rev. 5:8-14.
However, you should know that you also have the mandate and call of praising God according to psalm 150:6.
The activities of the ministry also include studying of the bible, evangelism, fasting and praying and singing in every occasion of God’s people. Identify with us today and remain lifted in His grace.
